Global Customisation Settings

Configure global branding, notifications, and candidate experience settings once, then reuse them across jobs in Xinterview AI.

Global Customisation Settings

These settings are global in Xinterview AI. Configure them once, and you do not need to repeat the same setup for every job.

Global customisation settings control the parts of the interview experience that stay consistent across jobs. Use them to save time when you create jobs quickly, while keeping the candidate experience aligned with your process and branding.

What you can configure

The global settings page lets you manage the core parts of the interview flow that candidates see and experience during a job.

  • Form elements — Reuse the same form structure across jobs so you do not rebuild fields each time.
  • Candidate notifications — Control the messages candidates receive during the interview process.
  • Anti-cheating — Apply the safeguards you want to use consistently across jobs.
  • Introduction notes — Set the opening instructions or context candidates see before they start.
  • Thank-you page — Define the closing experience after a candidate finishes.
  • Branding — Keep the interview page aligned with your organization’s visual style.
  • Custom stages — Define default hiring stages that apply across all jobs, so every new job starts with your preferred pipeline structure.

These settings are especially useful when your team creates jobs often. Instead of configuring the same details repeatedly, you set them once and apply them as part of the job creation flow.

Review and apply global settings during job creation

Open the job editor

Create a new job or edit an existing one, then open the job editor in Xinterview AI.

Open the Customisation tab

Select the Customisation tab to view the settings that affect the candidate experience.

Review the global settings

Check the form elements, candidate notifications, anti-cheating options, introduction notes, thank-you page, branding settings, and custom stages before you publish the job.

Adjust only what is job-specific

Keep the global settings as your default setup, then change only the parts that need to be different for this job.

Save the job

Click Save to apply the settings and keep them available for future jobs.

Use global customisation to move faster

Global settings reduce repetitive setup work when you create similar jobs. You still control the job experience, but you do not need to rebuild the same interview structure, messaging, or branding every time.

If you are setting up a new hiring workflow, start with the global defaults first. Then tailor the job-specific details where needed so each role still feels appropriate without adding extra work.

Custom Stages

Global custom stages are default hiring stages that you configure at the account level and apply to all jobs by default. They help keep your hiring pipeline consistent across roles, while still allowing you to override stages for individual jobs when needed.

Navigate to Global Customisation Settings

Go to your dashboard settings and open the Global Customisation section.

Find the Stages configuration area

Locate the Stages settings within the customisation options.

Add, edit, reorder, or delete stages

Use the stage management controls to add new stages, rename existing ones, reorder them by dragging, or remove stages you no longer need.

Save your changes

Click Save to apply the updated stages across your account.

Global custom stages become the default pipeline for all new jobs. You can still customize stages independently inside individual jobs when a role needs a different process.

Changes to global stages apply only to new jobs going forward. Existing jobs keep their current stage configuration unless you update them individually.

For per-job stage setup, see Create Custom Stages.
