Overview
Different question types support different interview goals. Choose the format that best matches the skill, response style, and review workflow you want to evaluate.
Available Question Types
Video
Use Video questions when candidates should record and submit a video response.
Video works well for evaluating presentation skills, communication style, and detailed answers that benefit from seeing and hearing the candidate.
Audio
Use Audio questions when candidates should record audio only.
Audio is a good fit for quick feedback, voice assessment, and situations where you want to focus on spoken answers without video.
Text
Use Text questions when candidates should type a written response.
Text works well for technical knowledge, written communication, and answers that are easier to review in a text format.
Single Choice
Use Single Choice questions when candidates should select one answer from provided options.
This format is suited to multiple-choice questions with one correct answer or screening questions with a small set of possible responses.
Choosing the Right Type
Match the question type to the kind of signal you want from the candidate.
| Question type | Best use case |
|---|---|
| Video | Personality, presentation skills, detailed answers |
| Audio | Quick feedback, voice assessment |
| Text | Technical knowledge, written communication |
| Single Choice | Screening questions, quick assessments |
